Green Mountain Grill Daniel Boone Wifi Pellet Grill Review

As the Creator and Editor in Chief of GRILLGIRL.COM, I get a lot of questions on what grills I recommend. I melt on all types of grills, and normally have at least ten at my house at any given time, but I always recommend that people get a Pellet Smoker if they don't take one because Pellet Smokers deliver smoky flavour to the masses, while beingness incredibly like shooting fish in a barrel to utilize. And if yous are going to get a Pellet smoker, I HIGHLY recommend Green Mountain Grills.

I've been working with Green Mountain Grills for many years now and I've created a ton of memories on my Green Mountain Grill. Information technology has withstood the Florida elements very well, which is a testament to any grill because the sun and humidity here are difficult on grills!

While many people tin can find Traeger at Large Box stores, you tin only find Green Mountain Grills at dealers, which is meliorate for y'all. Why? This ways you have a relationship with your dealer and can work with them if y'all always accept questions or need aid with your grill. Plus, with contactless delivery, you don't even have to leave the house, you can have a grill delivered to your doorstep!

I've had a great experience with my Green Mountain Grill through the years when I have needed assistance over the years, and our Principal Grill Reviewer, John Solberg, tin adjure to the fact that they are always quick to assistance when you lot reach out to their customer support line!!

So, to support why I love and recommend my Green Mount Grill, here is a quick review of the Daniel Boone Prime, the super sexy Wifi-Enabled Pellet Smoker that has the cool looking green wheels!

Daniel Boone Prime Pellet Smoker:

If y'all are thinking about a Pellet Smoker, you exercise desire to ensure that yous have plenty surface infinite to melt multiple racks of ribs or a whole brisket, which you tin easily do on a Daniel Boone Prime. I've cooked a small, 35lb whole hog on mine, showing it is fully capable. If you lot do a lot of catering or large cookouts for more than 30 people at a time, this goes without saying, but you lot will want to think about getting the larger model like the Jim Bowie.

Things to Consider:

  • Surface Surface area: 458 sq inches, enough for 7 racks of ribs
  • Height of Cooking Surface to Lid: 13.5 inches- plenty to stand up up a chicken
  • Construction: thirteen-14 Gauge Steel
  • Hopper Capacity: xviii lbs, pellet door for removing pellets or clean out
  • Voltage: 12 volts
  • Wifi Enabled with APP: smoke on the go and maintain temps from anywhere with the app. It does just about everything but babysit your kid for you or take out the trash.

Green Moin

The Green Mountain Grills app makes information technology easy to smoke meat from your burrow!

Here are some things they've added as standard equipment on the Prime number that are a game changer:

  • 12V direct power makes for amend temp control, fuel economy and faster start upward
  • Dual Meat Probes- smoke multiple poly peptide types at once
  • USB port for charging devices- so yous tin charge while hanging out by your grill and drinking beer
  • Adjustable/moveable firebox for temperature control /grill direction
  • Ash Vac system- in that location is at present a pigsty for vacuuming out ash, in addition to the system that helps effectively remove ash and pellets from the auger when information technology is in fan fashion

If you've never had a Pellet Grill before, 1 thing to exist aware of is that it is recommended to vacuum them out pretty frequently to keep them running properly. They demand more maintenance and clean up than a gas grill does. This is why the ash vac system is a smart improver.

I recommend buying a portable shop vac (moisture/dry vac) store vac  (affiliate link) to clean out your pellet grill if you don't have ane. This makes clean up easy and I use this on all my grills, not merely my pellet grill, though doing this is most important on a pellet smoker due to their nature of having a lot of moving parts (figuratively and literally speaking!).

At $699, the Daniel Boone Prime is a dandy value for everything included such as Wifi, area, all terrain wheels, sturdy construction and smart design to keep information technology running smoothly for many years to come. And information technology comes with a limited 3 year warranty.
